Hanpy Hallowe'en - Watch out for Gremiins 1 ISSN NUMBER 1181-6333 At least that is how it seemed on Fair Day. The weather was just super; not too hot not too cool. The exhibitors had gone all out to put on a display of the best in the township. The wares that the vendors brought to sell did not have the look of being stuff they hadn't been able to sell in the summer. And the parade! it gets better each year. The only real suspence to the day, was whether the flags would get tangied on the way up the newly installed flag pole. Tho colour party that raised the LIND ww in flags, consisted of Constable Yves Protelance of the RCMP who raised the Canadian Flag; Legionaire Gerry Wheeler, of Pic- ton, who raised the Provincial Emblem, and Venturer Richard Sunnucks of the 1st Miiford Ven- turers Company. As part of the opening ceremonies, Ruth Ackerman, Phyliis Chapman Murray Head, Emma Lancaster, Irene Magee and Clifford Vancott, were presented with citizenship medais on behalf of the Fair Board and the community.
