CT JHA 1 Dryella Acantha Malvina Continued..... This is a story that came from a local theatre: A man was sprawled in the aisle and the usher urged him to get up as he was blocking the way. The man didn't move or speak so the usher called the manager who said, "I must ask you to move." Still the man didn't reply. So the manager called the police. "Get up or I'll have to take you in," the officer said. "Where did you come from anyway?" The man finally stirred and said "The balcony." Smart Tips - Now that the boating season is here use this idea; poke a hole through a large cork and thread your key ring through it. Your keys will stay afloat if you accidentally drop them in the water. Going on a picnic? Have no salt and pepper shakers to take? Drill a few holes in two 35mm. film canister lids and voila! Shakers to go. Soggy potato chips? Microwave on high for 30 to 60 seconds, let cool and they're as good as new. Moira Nikander-Forrester, Brian Caddell and Steve Forrester, each of whom has many years of theatrical experience including several with Belleville Theatre Guild productions, are putting together the first performance to run for more than a few nights at the Regent. Last of the Red Hot Lovers 1s a i} fine play from the pen of Neil Simon, full {| of good punchy dialogue and lines that #781 remain as witty as when they were written. : i] 1 The plot concerns a middle-aged restaurant iy oF owner, Barney Kashman, who 1s married, ORRESTER apparently happily - and faithful to now - but curious for a wonderful extramarital encounter. Director Steve Forrester describes the play as one that reflects some universal truths. "Everyone goes through mid-life crises where they look for something to spice up their lives". The play, set in the 1960s. takes place in Barney's mother's New York apartment where Barney meets, one after the other and with varying success, three very diverse women with whom he attempts to commit infidelity. This production is notable in that all three women will be played by Moira Nikander-Forrester, who has demonstrated her versatility in a string of Belleville Theatre Guild productions at the Pinnacle. She describes the play as a very silly comedy "with absolutely no redeeming social features". Actor Brian Caddell who plays Barney, sees his character as "a straight and narrow kind of guy looking for one special moment with someone just to see how it would be". All three talented individuals are looking forward to having a fling with this production and want audiences to share the enjoyment. The play runs July 1st to the 5th, also the 9th, 10th and 12th at the Regent Theatre in Picton with the curtain rising at 8pm each night. Seat FA 704 prices are $16 and $12.
