After a delicious lunch which was provided by Jean Burrows, Margaret Ceh, Isobel Dey, Joanna Brearley, June Miller and Irene Simmons the meeting was called to order by the president who thanked those who had helped her with the lunch. Gem for the day "If you are all wrapped up with yourself you are overdressed." Thought for the day "Here comes the groom" was read by Alice Miller. Roll call was answered by the twenty-one members present by either singing, saying or paying. The treasury was enriched by $1.75. June Miller read the minutes of the June meeting which were adopted as read. Moved by Freda Spice and seconded by Eleanor Forbes. Collection, birthday offering and donations to Christian Children's Fund were received. Correspondence from Camp Trillium, and Christian Children's Fund of Canada was read by June Miller. Treasurer's report was given by Margery Drury and tickets were sold on the quilts. Card Report was given by Freda Spice. Final arrangements were made for the Arts and Craft Show and the Quilt Sow. It was decided that the theme for the Milford Fair float would be "Mary Had A Little Lamb". Final arrangements will be made at September 3rd meeting. Moved by June Miller and seconded by Eleanor Forbes that a quilt be given to the Tom Rorabeck family who had lost their home by fire. Announcement was made of the Fortieth Wedding Anniversary of Lewis and Muriel Rorabeck on Sunday, August 16th at Mount Tabor Community Centre and our Anniversary Pot Luck Dinner with our spouses would be at Dorothy and Gordon Brook's cottage on Sunday, August 24th. A contest to identify the leaves of flowers and herbs was conducted by Shirley McCaw which was won by June Miller. Muriel Rorabeck thanked the hostess, Jean Burrows, and her helpers for lunch and a refreshing time together.
