Our immediate concern is the condition of our water... creek, cove and lake, which boarders on the Hay Bay Genetics Pig Farm. Initially, we are stunned by the fact that this factory farm exists immediately adjacent to a designated "Provincially Significant Wetlands" whose effluent may run directly into Cressy swamp, Cressy creek, Prinyers Cove and Lake Ontario. We are fully aware that we have the privilege of residing in a rural area, and expect to co-exist with family farms, which have been in this area for many years. However, we cannot accept the possibility that the exist- ing Pig Farm, if not presently then may in the near future, pollute the waters from which many of us draw our drinking water.
