Milford A " LAVAS Sig i Community I; Shon sag Tricilily Circle jot The April I took place at Milford Town Hall on Thursday, April 12 at 1:30pm. President Gillian Parker gave a profound thought by Ralph Waldo Emerson - "When it is dark enough, you can see the stars". Barb Balsillie's thought was about "Pansies in Soft April Rains". Thank you letters were received from Salvation Army and South Marysburgh Recreation for donations make to them from our organization. Qur card secretary, Freda Spice, will send a thank you card to Valerie Creasy for the quilt tops, quilts, and mate- rial she has donated to our group. Secretary Marg Ceh, and treasurer Wilma Creasy, pre- sented efficient reports as usual. Our roll call was for everyone to draw a portrait of any member of our group and it was up to the rest of us to guess who it was. It was not an easy job as, unfortu- nately, most of us aren't artists, but -it did supply some laughs! Gillian Parker's contest caused some controversy as you were to make words with sounds that said "egg". Not everyone pronounced them the same way. The afternoon was brought to a pleasant closing with lunch supplies by Marg Crouse and Merle Evans who were thanked by Marg Ceh. NOTICE There will be a benefit dance for Sue and Larry Everall on Friday, May 25th at the Elks Hall in Picton. Ladies please bring refreshments. GET READY FOR SUN!
