Lori learned how to do human and non- human make-up, although the men, who must lock like they are wearing NO make-up, would often do their own. She found the challenge of doing make-up for wolves and monsters exciting! . Then Lori became a prompter for some of the shows whereby you must whisper when an actor gets "off | book'. "No, you're off. You've just jumped 15 pages!" Prompting takes confidence to say to another fellow thespian You've messed up.' Thus, the prompter must be _| easy to work with and a good listener and be very alert at all times. Lori was a good prompter and learned a lot but was happy to be replaced so that she could move on to acting. Lori moved from having two acting lines, and two singing lines, in Anne, to doing the lead in Dracula which was, for her, fun and very interesting. She had expected to be picked as a victim, but was chosen to do Dracula, himself, a polar opposite to everything that she is. It was scary to do the lead but it pumped up the adrenaline. She says that the 'mean' people have all the best lines. Her favourite part has been that of Miss Hannigan from Annie, although she really likes murder mysteries. She'd like to do 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' sometime. Now Lori has directed by herself.
