Lots!! Besides books arriving regularly, we have had an exciting fall 2001. Our new Sleepyhead Storytime for kids and parents has been a great success. Lynette Pettit and myself alternate hosting the evenings stories. From 3 children to up to 10 children and their parents have appeared each Tuesday for stories, songs, and crafts (only for special occasions). Tues. Oct. 16 - Paul Johnson, councillor for Athol, read Canadian stories to an attentive group. Class visits from South Marysburgh school have been visiting weekly during October. For adults - the library hosted Coffee Break for Alzheimer Society and about $30.00 was donated. Thank you everyone for your generous support. During Ontario Public Library Week the first Milford Book Club Premiered discussing Margaret Atwood's The Blind Assassin. If you are interested in joining the book club, call us here at the library. Fax (613) 476-2955 An Open House celebration was also held on Oct. 20 Robert Quaiff and Monica Alyea - Councillors joined the staff to meet patrons and learn about our automated system. The Friends of the Ann Farwell Library are planning a Christmas event for the community. Mark your calendar for Sat. Dec. 8 for BRUNCH WITH SANTA - see flyer on page. This is a fund raising event for the Library. Join in the fun. Another community cooperation event is to be held on Tues. Dec. 18 - the 2nd Annual Caroling, Hay Ride and Tree Lighting. See flyer on page for more details. At both these festive events, we will be accepting items for the Food Banks. Please be generous.
