LIBRARY NOTES It's been a busy summer at the Ann Farwell Library. Summer programmes for the children totaled an attendance of 102 participants who enjoyed such activities as Library Bingo, Teddy Bear's Picnic, Butterflies are Free and Fun with Nature. The highlight of the summer was a magnificent puppet show by our own Milfordite Judy Cole. Thanks to Judy for your generous donation of your time to entertain the children. $ © On Tues. Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. an awards ceremony took place to honour the top readers in our "READ AROUND THE WORLD -TD Summer Reading Club - WALL OF FAME. First prize went to Brianna Logan, -- (2 winners) Emma & Elliot Windfeld and 3rd to Sinclair Dacombe. Thanks for all the reading you did this summer. The Friends of the Ann Farwell Library have been busy. The Annual Giant Used Book sale took place on Sat. July 13 and as usual was a great success. Please be sure to visit "The Friends" booth at the Milford Fall Fair on Sept. 14. More quality used books will be available then as well as lots of plants to beautify your garden. Plan - your entry and bring it to the Library on Sat. Oct. 19 for display in the Library. Winners will be announced on Hallowen Day. Make sure you do not cut your pumpkin - only decorate with paint, and appropriate decorations. Let's see if we can fill the shelf all along the side of the windows. If you have any questions, drop into the Library.
