er To rs ER South Bay U. C. W. The ladies of South Bay United Church met at the church hall on Wednesday, May 21 at 1:30 pm. President Sandra Emlaw opened the meeting with a child's definition of a house and home -- When you're outside, it looks like a house but inside it feels like a home. Our theme, hymn purpose and Lord's prayer followed. Sandra's devotional was taken from Mathew 22, verses 36 to 40 -- dealing with love. Any definition of a suc- § cessful life must take into account service to others. The smallest deed of love always exceeds the greatest inten- tions. Eighteen members answered roll call by naming their favourite flower and why. Thirteen sick calls were made. Secretary Maureen Rudd read the minutes of the April meeting which were approved. Card secretary Donna Loney reported sending 2 get-well cards -- to Bruce Scott and Sid Drury. The president gave the financial report in the absence of treasurer Joyce Minaker. Marg Crouse and Irene Robb celebrated anniversa- ries this month. Our U.C.W. have been invited to join Cherry Val- ley ladies on Wednesday, June 18 at 8 pm. We have been informed by Belleville Presbyterial that all the United Churches in Prince Edward County will be called South Zone.
