Today Pa and I Reaped some corn back then we started to build the calf stable. Tue 3 We are having fine weather now. Pa and I work at the C. stable. After Dinner Pa started to reap B wheat. | bound the corn up back. Wed 4 I helped Calman Whattam thrash. It was a nice day fall grain growing fine now. Thur 5 Pa finished raping the B wheat not a very heavy crop this year. I think there will be one load. Fri. 6 Pa and I drew up three loads of corn. After dinner I helped Smith McLaughlin draw up a load of clover. He is drawing it up and putting it in our barn. Mon 9 I went up to Mr. Ackermans Milford to help thrash in Emmet place. Emmet has a 22? on his hand and isn't able to work. I went down to Mr. Jacksons and stayed all night. Had a big time playing on the violin and piano. Wed 11 Come home this morning Emmet hand not much 'better. Helped us pick some apples to day. It has been a lovely day for picking apples. Oct 13 I helped Wesley Wattam thrash. A lovely day most to warm for comfort. George Collier barreling up more ap- ples to day. Sat 14 I helped Smith McLaughlin draw and stack his Buckwheat drew ours down and put on the top of the stack. Pa and Ma went over to Picton. Archie and Mr. Brown come over here last night with a Boat. Went to day to Tim- ber Island hunting. Sun 15 Archie Harry Brown and I went up to Stone School House to Meeting. Jack was up to George Lewis and after meeting I stoped there till after dinner. Then Jack and I went on down to Corkers finding Emma Hughs there and towards the Evening Her Dearest came back. Mon.16 Feeling a little blue but picked apples all day. Pa went up to George Colliers to help him in the after noon. Tue 17 Finished picking the Apples at noon. Then I went down to the flats started to plough. Ma and Mary E went down to gather Hickory Nuts. Oct.18 I ploughed down on the flats its been nice and warm all day rather to warm for ploughing. Thul9 I ploughed till noon After dinner Pa and I fixed a fence around the Berries back. There was a Sunday School Social at the Union. I was down. It was very good. Mirt re- cited. Fri 20 Ploughed all day This has been a fine month so far hasn't been a day but what a person could go in their shirt sleeves. Tue 24 I ploughed all day. It was very warm. Edward Rose and bolter come Bought the apples and commenced to put them up. Thu 26 I took the Hogs over to Picton there was 1415 Ibs sold them at 3 9/10 per Ib. Jake was over. He had 1995 Ibs. Ed Rose and Bolter finished the apples there was 20 berrls @180 and 21 berrls @150. Fri 27 Rained a little most of the day. I took the rest of the apples that where left from packing to the Evaporator. Mon.30 I went up to the Cider Mill fetched a brl home with me. After dinner I took old Darb up to Jakes. He intends to fat her. . Fetched old Nell down with me for to plough. Tue 31 Pa and I started to plough the sod in the first field on the flats dosent plough very good most two wet.
