The sleighting is the best now it has been this winter. Uncle Dan got another 1000 of hay @ 35 cts, and Peter Bongard got 1790 Ibs @ 35 Th. 23 Worked on the roads to day. The wind blew a gale from the South West . A very uncomon thing took place to day heffer we got of Uncle Dan gave birth to a pair of Bull calves. Fri. 24 Dan and I moved two load of his furniture around on George Dulmage place . George hasn't left the house yet waiting for the people to get out of the house where he is going. So Ida and Dan is going to stay here till they get away. The sleighing is very good to day. Mon. 27 Feeling a little blue to day but worked all day sawing wood. Archie and Ma went up to Milford. Archie went to see Jackson about hiring. Made a bargain 14.00 dollars pr. month. Pa sowed thirty pounds of clover seed peck faller. Tue. 28 Dan and I drew up two loads of wood and three loads of gravel. The Bay is all frozen over again but not very thick. There has been a little peace that hasnt been out yet from the bluff to the flats in to our shore. Wed. 29 I took Archie around to Mr. Jacksons. We got there about noon and Archie commensed to work. After din- ner I got the buggy spring fixed. The wind blew a gale all day taking the ice out again. Th. 30 Mr. Oliver Ostrander's wife funeral serman was preached to day at his house ten oclock. The decease was then taken down to the Valley and burried. Dan, Ida, Pa, Stirling and I where down to hear the Serman. The house was crowded. Dan and I sawed wood this after noon. Mary Ellen and Emmet come up home.
