Ya 2 Canadian Food Grains - Cont'd from page 4 International Development Agency $4.00 for every $1.00 raised locally. These funds are distributed by the Food Grains head office in Winnipeg after volunteers have traveled to recipient countries and assessed their needs. The funds are used for direct-food-aid and work-for- food programs such as planting shelterbelts, irrigation ditches and seed for future crops. Because of the volunteer nature of the Food Grains Project $0.94 of every dollar goes for direct food aid which means a lot of bang for our buck in any language. Over the past 10 years South Bay United Churchs' involvement has generated in excess of $120,000.00 in total. This is keeping with our motto "a Christian Response to Hunger"
