Their shoes were made for walking And that's just what they did. Annette Keogh, Barb Guernsey and Anne Morrison arrived safely back home on the evening of Sunday September 11™ after finishing the 60 km walk for The Weekend To End Breast Cancer supporting the Princess Margaret Hospi- tal in Toronto. What an amazing weekend it was with 4,885 people walking and not a single road closed in Toronto. Yes, it did make for long waits at the traffic lights. Thanks to the financial and moral support of friends, family and community they each collected the minimum $2000 required to participate in the walk. Annette's total was $4,210, Barb's was $2554 and Anne's was $2,170. There were 5 other ladies on the team of Playtex Pals which, as a team raised an awe- some $24,554 total. What an amazing weekend it was with joy, laughter, tears and exhaustion. The entire team has signed up to do it again next year so if you'd like to support us or even if you're interested in joining our team next year give us a call. We'd love to hear from you! The website is set up and ready to go again for 2006 so feel free to visit their individual web pages through www.endcancer.ca. It's a great place to bring guests - they get a little taste of County 12 talent and we always promise not to do any Christmas music." The "Fiddle" in the title refers, of course, to Zeke Mazurek, who once again promises an eclectic offering that ranges from lively folk tunes to serene classical numbers. Songstress Jeanette Arsenault has returned to the show after a hiatus last year, and for the first time, County country legend Bill Ostrander will join the roster. "And of course, I'll tell a story or two," Kellough says. "One of the things that's great fun about these kinds of shows is that we change the line-up all the time, so every year it's dif- Continued on page 6 ® Women Enginameers 5 ® Christmas 05 7 ® Druella Acantha Malvina 11 ® "Seaconal Holiday Time" 13 ® Life inthe Past 18 ® The Last Word 20
