South Shore Joint Initiative (SSJI) celebrated Flashback Febru- ary with delicious heritage- inspired croquettes from Ka- leidoscope Catering perfectly paired with three select vin- ges. Featured wines included Progression - Lighthall’s cele- brated sparkling wine, a 2021 Pinot Noir and a 2022 Ries- ling. Located at Lighthall and Royal Roads, Lighthall Vine- yards is often a drop-in spot after SSJI’s popular South Shore Strolls, which will re- start this spring. Some items were featured in a Culinary Guessing game that encour- aged guests to try to figure out what they were or were used for. Asmall Silent Auction add- ed an additional fundraising component to the fun atmos- phere. As well, SSJI launched Art Extravaganza 2024 — Nestings. County artists are invited to decorate a solid pine nesting box handmade by the talented Dick Bird (of Otter Canoe fame!). Proceeds will be split between SSJI and participating artists.
