This advertisement paid for by the Rhonda Mulcahy Campaign www.rhondamulcahy.com 905.655.7642 Whitby Warrior Novice 3s Win Ontario Provincial Field Lacrosse Title The Whitby Warrior Novice 3 Field Lacrosse team matched the perfect weather of the Victoria Day long weekend with a perfect record at the Ontario Field Lacrosse Championships. The Warriors started strong against Toronto Beaches 2 winning 10-1. Their second game also was a strong 9-1 victory over the Newmarket Redbirds 2 team. The next game proved much tougher as the Warriors jumped to a 4-0 lead over a strong Niagara on the Lake team, only to see the lead evaporate into a 5-5 tie with minutes left in the game. However, the Warriors rose to the challenge to score a late goal and win 6-5 to keep their perfect record intact. The final game of the round robin saw the Warriors defeat the Mimico Mountaineers 2 team by a score of 15-0. The perfect record in the round robin put the Warriors into the Finals against the strong Niagara on the Lake team they'd battled hard the previous day. Once again the Warriors came out strong - surging to an early 3-0 lead. This time, it was a lead they would not surrender. The Warriors led wire to wire and closed off a perfect Provincial Championship with a solid 9-4 win to capture the Gold Medals and a championship banner for the rafters of Iroquois! The boys are proud to have completed the Provincials with a perfect 6-0 record and an amazing 49 goals for and only 11 against. Team members are Tyler Belliveau, Drew Cairns, Aaron Gillis, Jackson Irvine, Evan Keller,Kai Kimura, Johnny Lafleur, Jack Malone, Cole Miller, AJ Monk, Blake Perritt, Ethan Proctor, Blaine Stewart, Colton Straughan, and goalie, Michael Smith.
