4 Friday, November 29, 2019 brooklintowncrier.com Durham Region Transit (DRT) is proud to unveil a new holiday bus for participation in regional holiday events and to help support Durham Regional Police Service's (DRPS) 2019 Festive R.I.D.E. launch and 31st annual Food and Toy Drive kick-off. Featuring a creative, whimsical and festive full-body decal, the DRT holiday bus artwork captures the diverse landscape of the Region of Durham, both the urban development cityscape in lakeshore municipalities, as well as the thriving agricultural geography of our northern and rural municipalities. The bus used for the wrap is a new addition to DRT's fleet and will not be used in on-street service until 2020, once it has completed Santa's rigorous winter testing at DRT's north pole facility. Watch for DRT's holiday bus at a number of DRPS donation events, encouraging residents and visitors to stuff the bus full of toys and non-perishable food to support Durham Region families in need.
