Brooklin High School Graduation Awards & Recognition ABILITIES SCHOLARSHIP Aidan Campbell This scholarship recognizes a DDSB high school student who has a diagnosed Learning Disability, has been successful academically and who is continuing studies in the upcoming academic year. Candidates be full- time high school students during the 2020-2021 school year and be entering first year of apprenticeship, college or university in 2021-2022. ABLE TREE SERVICE Nicolette Jones To a graduating student who demonstrates a true passion for the environment and will be pursuing studies in Arboriculture, Forestry or Environmental Studies. ANDREW FOUNDATION AWARD Mackenzie Belchos Awarded to the student with the highest overall average in six grade 12 university or mixed level courses which must include one Math and one Science, and who is continuing on to university. FABRICLAND AWARD Megan Scanlon Awarded to a graduating student who has taken at least two fashion courses at Brooklin High School, has made a positive contribution to the fashion program and is pursing a post-secondary education. GOVERNOR GENERAL'S ACADEMIC MEDAL Mackenzie Belchos The Governor General's Academic Medal is awarded to the student who graduates with the highest average upon graduation. JACOR MARKETING AWARD (VALEDICTORIAN) Jackson Murphy Awarded to the Brooklin High School Valedictorian. The Valedictorian was nominated and selected by the Brooklin High School graduating class. JACOR EQUITY AWARD Tanner Hubble This award is given to the student who best exemplifies student equity by taking measures to prevent bullying and promote inclusion within the student body. JODIE ALEXANDRA DICKS MEMORIAL AWARD Emma Parrott Awarded to a student who has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, athletic skill and more im-portantly kindness and respect to both peers, faculty and family. LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR'S COMMUNITY VOLUNTEER AWARD Kaitlyn Hunt Awarded to a graduating student who has demonstrated exemplary community contribution or outstanding achievement through volunteer activity. MAYOR'S MEDAL Megan Johnson Awarded to a graduating student who has displayed leadership, academic excellence and good citizenship. The recipient is selected by the school and is awarded to the Grade 12 graduate who has demonstrated outstanding leadership, academics and good citizenship qualities.
