Thank you to the doctors and staff at Bowmanville Hospital. Thank you for all the cards and the donations made to Laverne's favorite charities. Thank you for the lovely luncheon catered at Trinity United Church following the service and thanks to all who brought food to our homes. Thank you to our nephews David Brown, Brian Kingsley, and Dennis Kingsley, our grandsons Keith and Craig Weidmark and our son Earl Kingsley, who served as pallbearers. A special thanks to our niece Wanda, who put together the music for all the old hymns that Laverne wished to be played during visitations. Thank you to the organist who played the old hymns so beautifully during the service. The wonderful old hymns really touch your heart when accompanied by an organ. A special thank you to our granddaughters Allison and Krista for singing solos of two of Laverne's favorite hymns - THE OLD RUGGED CROSS and AMAZING GRACE. A special thank you to Pastor Herb Shoemaker for his kind words at the service. Laverne always thought what a wonderful man of God he was when he was our pastor at Evangel Church in Oshawa and had requested, if possible that Pastor Herb would do his funeral service. No words can express enough our thanks to Cory, Rose, Amy and all the staff at Northcutt Elliott Funeral home for their wonderful help during this time of Laverne's passing. You always go above and beyond. Psalm 30:2 - O LORD my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me. Matthew 11:28 - Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Philippians 4: 19 - But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Always so good, unselfi sh and kind, none on this earth your equal I'll fi nd. Honourable and true in all your ways, loving and faithful to the end of your days, honest and liberal, ever upright, just in your judgment, always right; loved by your friends and all whom you knew, one in a million, that person was you. A loving person, so gentle and kind; what a wonderful memory you left behind. Long days, long nights, you bore your pain. To wait for a cure, but all in vain. Till God Himself knew what was best. He took you home and gave you rest. There is a link death cannot sever, love and remembrance last forever. CELEBRATION OF LIFECARD OF THANKS
