A sweet little flower, nipped in the bud, no grief or sorrow knew; just came to earth to win our love and then to Heaven withdrew. No stain was on your little heart, sin had not entered there; and innocence slept sweetly on that pale white brow so fair. And while you lie in peaceful sleep, your memory we shall always keep. We are sad within our memory, lonely are our hearts today; for the one we loved so dearly has forever been called away. We think of you in silence, no eye may see us weep; but many silent tears are shed when others are asleep.
