On Thursday, Oct. 20 at about 2:30 a.m., Durham police responded to a report that a 2022 Dodge Ram truck was stolen from a driveway in the Stevenson Road South and Phillip Murray Avenue area of Oshawa. Officers found the vehicle a short distance away. The driver was taken into custody and the truck was returned to its owner. Hachem Elfilale, 21, of Quebec is facing charges in connection to the theft. A few hours later, at about 5 a.m., police were dispatched to the area of Longworth Avenue and Liberty Street North in Clarington after a 2021 Dodge Ram truck was stolen from a driveway. Again, officers located the vehicle, took the driver into custody and returned the truck to its owner. Romenskee Colas, 20, of Quebec, is facing charges in connection with the theft. The third incident happened at about 12 noon on Oct. 20 when Durham police responded to the area of Hwy. 407 and Enfield Road in Clarington after receiving reports that a 2021 Dodge Ram truck that was stolen earlier in the day from Toronto was in the area. Officers located the vehicle and took the driver into custody -- the truck was returned to its owner. Alehandro Nicolas Boucher, 19, of Quebec is facing several charges.
