Notes: Edward S. Janik, 80, of McHenry, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, at his home.

He was born March 27, 1924, in Chicago, to Stanley and Rose (Dekarski) Janik. On Feb. 11, 1950, he married Josephine R. Partyka at St. Josephats Church in Chicago. Survivors include three children. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Josephine, on Feb. 9, 1999; and a son, Ronald. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.
