- Joan C. Groden, 93, a lifelong resident of Woodstock and Crystal Lake, died Tuesday, May 11, 2004, at her home in Crystal Lake. She was born June 2, 1910, in Cleveland, to Moses and Esther Newport. Interment will be in Crystal Lake Memorial Park Cemetery.
