Notes: Eugene P. Freund, 73, of McHenry, died Thursday, Jan 1, 2004, at Kindred Hospital in Sycamore. He was born March 23, 1930, in McHenry, to Herbert H. and Hilda (Weber) Freund. On Jan. 3, 1959, he married Frances Thomas. A Korean war veteran, he is survived by his wife and five children. Burial will be in the church cemetery at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church .
