- Beverly Platt Mommsen, 76, of Crystal Lake, died April 20, 2005, after a short illness. She was born May 18, 1928, in Minneapolis, to Ida Bye and Col. William Channon Platt. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Dr. Jack Terman Mommsen. Services at St. Mary Episcopal Church, Crystal Lake.
