- Veronica Stanek, 81, of McHenry, died April 23, 2005, in her home. She was born Feb. 3, 1924, in the Czech Republic, to Robert and Alojzia (Baluch) Gasparik. On June 21, 1947, she married Joseph Stanek Jr. at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Chicago. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Stanek Jr., on April 4, 1996. Interment will be in St. Patrick Countryside Cemetery.
