- Vera Marie Fischer, 99, of Crystal Lake, died June 1, 2005, at Mercy Harvard Care Center. She was born Dec. 5, 1905, in Buffalo, Iowa, to Thomas and Mathilda (Paul) Hierseman. On Feb. 18, 1930, she married Harland Fischer in Detroit. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Davenport, Iowa.
