She was born April 8, 1949, in Woodstock, to Paul and Alice (Pierson) Murdock. She married Roger A. Finnie on Sept. 11, 1971, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake. Services took place at Peace Lutheran Church in Charlotte.
