Notes: Alan Hazen Read, 54, of Algonquin, died suddenly on July 16 at the Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva. He was born Jan. 5, 1951, in Racine, Wis to Mary Jane Hazen and Darwin B. Read. He is survived by his wife, Mary Culver Read, whom he married Aug. 11, 1973; their three daughters, Elizabeth of Park Forest, Lucy (Russ) Blahetka of Bolingbrook and Katherine of Algonquin; his father, Darwin B. of Venice, Fla.; his sisters, Nancy Emery of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., Marcia (Glenn) Thomason of Montross, Va., and Barbara (James) Baird of Frisco, Texas. Burial was in the churchyard cemetery at St. James Episcopal Church, West Dundee.
