Notes: Martin A. Christian, 82, of Algonquin died Aug. 9 at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He was born March 4, 1923, in Algonquin. He married Phyllis Bratton on July 2, 1949. He is survived by his wife; three children, Philip of Algonquin, the Rev. Douglas (Deborah) of Monroeville, Ind., and Deborah (Brady) Alley of Algonquin; a brother, Walter (Ruth) of Rochester, Minn.; two sisters, Ruth (Morrie) Hintt of Elgin and Norma Petersen of Carol Stream. Services were held Aug. 12 at Calvary Lutheran Church, Elgin. Burial was in Algonquin Cemetery.
