Notes: for Blanche C. (née Rice) Brandt, 95, died April 28 at her home in Barrington. She was born Nov. 15, 1910, in Carmi, Ill. to Robert Charles and Bessie (née Tarant) Rice. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Brandt, whom she married Dec. 2, 1932, in Carmi; and a daughter, Janet McDonald. She was the grandmother of Dawn (Rick) Amers of Algonquin. She is survived by her daughter, Jane Marie (Benjamin II) Van Blake.
