Notes: Earl Frank (Pappy) Sund, 86, died at his home in Lake in the Hills on April 30, 2006. He was born Feb. 13, 1920 in Elgin, Ill., to Frank and Henrietta (Scharmer) Sund. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Mae Galster, whom he married on April 21, 1945 in Mundelein, Ill. Also surviving are his four children; Earl (Debby) Sund, Tom (Jan) Sund, Carol (Gerald) Block, and Debbie (Steve) Holme.
