McHENRY – Ashley Nicole Howard of McHenry and Phillip Reed Brown of Crystal Lake were married in a double-ring ceremony at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2012, at The Church of Holy Apostles in McHenry. The Rev. Robert Sherry officiated. She is the daughter of Dean and Tamara Howard of McHenry. He is the son of Kendall and Patricia Brown of Crystal Lake. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a vintage lace gown with crystal embellishments. She carried a bouquet of wildflowers with crystals and bleached peacock feathers. Maid of honor was Cailey Howard of McHenry. Bridesmaids were Catherine Dunham of Crystal Lake, Michelle Petersen of Marengo and Erin Terranova of Algonquin. Flower girl was Haylie Blake of Volo. Best man was Justin Brown of Arizona. Groomsmen were Blake Howard of McHenry, Adam Hart of Marengo and Jacob Hart of Marengo. Ushers were Kevin Pinkley of Chicago and Ryan Hoklas of Crystal Lake. Ring bearer was William Dunham of Crystal Lake. After a reception at D’Andrea Banquets, the couple took a wedding trip to Costa Rica. The bride is a 2007 graduate of Marian Central Catholic High School in Woodstock and a 2011 graduate of Judson University in Elgin. She is a nanny in Cary. The bridegroom is a 2007 graduate of Crystal Lake South High School and a 2011 graduate of Judson University. He is an associate product manager at Medline Industries in Mundelein. They make their home in Crystal Lake.
