- Robert G. "Bob" Nelson, 84, was born on June 26, 1929 in Crystal Lake to Rose and George Nelson and died on February 16, 2014 in Crystal Lake. He married Barbara Brayton after the Korean War and they were married for 55 years. He was preceded in death by his wife. He is survived by his children, Linda (Paul) Hoefert, Bob Nelson, Susan (Dennis) Rasmussen; grandchildren, Alex, Andrew, Dana (Jessica), Erik (Erica), Kyle (Tiffani); 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Melvin Nelson; niece, Mary and nephew, Mark. Burial will be at McHenry County Memorial Park.
