- Ben H. Soderberg Sr., 55, of Crystal Lake, died February 19, 2014 at Good Shepard Hospital in Barrington. He was born July 29, 1958 in Tucson, AZ to Terrence and Maryanna (Welechko) Soderberg. He was the father of Ben H. (Lynette) Soderberg Jr., Joshua R. Soderberg, and Theresa R. (McRed) Valderama. He was the husband of Laura DeBruyne whom he married on April 14, 2000 in Crystal Lake. He was preceded in death his his father and his step-son Nathan T. Oglesby. He is survived by his wife, his mother Maryanna Kottler, his children, his step-children, Michael T. (Sarah) Oglesby and Matthew T. Oglesby; his grandchildren, Zachary D. Soderberg, Ashe K. Valderama, Maximus M. Valderama, Rowen M. Soderberg; his step-grandchildren, Logan N. Oglesby, Shane W. Oglesby, and Payton A. Oglesby; his siblings, Joseph (Michelle) Bochantin and Ramona (Gene) Cramer; and his nieces and nephews, Andrew, Kimberly, Halie, and Theodore Bochantin, and Dylan Cramer. Burial will be private.
