- John K. Longley, 93, of McHenry, died on March 1, 2014. He was born in Little Falls, Minnesota to Lawrence D. and Helga (nee Wilburg) Longley. He is survived by his wife, Verda (nee Finney) whom he married in 1942; his children, Carol (Chuck) Walsh and John (Diana) Longley, Jr.; four grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; three brothers and four sisters, and his Goddaughter, Nancy McCoy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Tom and Don Longley; and his sister, Jeanne Soderlund. Internment will be private.
