- Description
- The old arena was opened on february 18th 1949, over 1000 people attended the opening. However visions for a community building began in 1947, when the Agricultural Societies building burnt down years prior. On may 20th 1976 the Ontario Ministry of Labour issued an order to condemn the building because it didn't meet the revised national building codes. Later it was demolished and a new arena was built later on.
