This edition of the Toronto periodical, the "Star Weekly", serves to describe the events of the 1939 Royal Tour of Canada and the United States conducted by Queen Elizabeth [the Queen Mother] and King George VI. Pages 1-8 of the "Star Weekly" contain photographs and descriptions of the 1939 Royal Tour of King George VI and Queen Mother Elizabeth. These pages contain descriptions of:

- The visit made by the King and Queen to the New York World's fair, where they visited the Dominion Exhibit, the British Building, and crossed the court of peace

- A welcome back to Canadian soil at Sherbrooke

- A visit to Halifax, where a "royal oak' was replanted in the Halifax Public Gardens by King George VI and where they were wished goodbye at Citadel Hill
