Description
Front of the program reads, "Brantford International Villages Festival/ July Fourth to Eleventh, Nineteen Eighty Seven/ Eight Days of Fun, Food, and Entertainment / Souvenir Program $1.00". It features an illustration of the Earth as well as a group of illustrated people in various traditional cultural garbs representing some of the different villages involved in the International Villages Festival.

This program was created for the Brantford International Villages Festival held from July Fourth to Eleventh, 1987. It contains a letter from the program editor and festival co-ordinator, Rita-Marie Jenkins, and another from the president of the International Villages Festival, Vince Bucci. The program features addresses to Brantford in support of the festival from various politicians of the time, including Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney and Brantford's Mayor David Neumann. Various articles throughout the program share information about the International Villages Festival. These include: a "meet our mascot" section, a section about the 1987 Village Queens, a map of the village locations, a short description of each village, a list of sponsors and volunteers, and a recipe page showcasing iconic foods from each village. Many advertisements for local businesses are included throughout the program.

The festival found such success that it was continued over subsequent years.
