Description
Album cover shows a brown, semi-abstract illustration of the face of Alexander Graham Bell: inventor of the telephone. It reads, "Aleck/ Original Cast Album/ Music by James brown and Gary Muir/ Lyrics by Gary Muir and Sara Staysa; Written by James Brown/ David Fox/ John McFayden/ Gary Muir/ Sara Staysa" in brown lettering against a cream-coloured background. In the upper-left corner of the cover is a small white label reading "K/ Alec" above a black and white laminated barcode. Also in the upper-left corner is a label used for library cataloguing purposes which reads, "Date Due". It is stamped with three dates signifying that the album was borrowed three times. These dates are stamped as November 3rd 1987, November 14th 1987, and December 22nd 1987. At the bottom of the "date due" label, it reads "Brantford Public Library/ Main Adult". Reverse of the album contains a synopsis of the musical, "Aleck", along with crediting creators of the album and listing the musical cast. Reverse of album also shows the track list with song names.

Cover is in somewhat poor condition, with tape used in the bottom right corner and across the top of the cover. Some wear and tear is present at the bottom of the album cover, and discoloration can be seen in multiple locations across both the front and back sides.
Notes
"Aleck" was a musical theatre performance developed by Brantford City residents in order to honour both the City of Brantford and the inventor, Alexander Graham Bell. It was written and performed for the 1974 Bell Centennial celebrations in Brantford Ontario, which commemorated 100 years since Bell's invention of the telephone while at the Bell Homestead.
