Death*: 1 April 1955; Brighton Twp., Codrington, Northumberland Co., Ontario; "Wilfred Earl Simpson; Entered into rest at his home in Codrington, April 1st, 1955, Wilfred Earl Simpson, dearly loved husband of Mildred Curtis, in his 54th year. He was born in Cramahe township October 20, 1901, to the late William Simpson and Elvia Grosjean, predeceased also by two sisters, Florence in 1923 and Betty (Mrs. Wm. Beatty) in 1930. Besides his sorrowing wife, he leaves to mourn his loss three brothers, Frank and Willet of Norham and Arthur of Colborne; four sisters, Ida (Mrs. Joseph French), codrington; Winnie (Mrs. Garnet Potter), Stirling; Madeline (Mrs. William Baxter) of Port Hope and Stella (Mrs. Gerald Stickle) Warkworth, and fourteen neices and nephews. Earl was a member of Codrington United Church, a loyal member of Percy Lodge, A.F. & A.M., No 161; Warkworth Chapter, Royal Arch Masons, No. 110 and of King Baldwin Preceptory, Belleville. .. He was a skilled mechanic and an honourable business man and will be greatly missed. .. The pall bearers were: Lloyd Ames, Robert Carlaw, Charles Buchanan, Gordon McCubbin, Owen Finlay and Arthur McKee. Flower bearers were Eldon Ewing, Jack Cameron, Claude Morgan, Arthur Ames, James Bird, Blair Huycke, Norman Hazelwood, Delbert Carr, Harold Peister, Donald Anderson, Max Morgan, Arthur Meneilly.
