Description: On July 20, 1961, the Department of Highways, Ontario opened a new stretch from Port Hope to Brighton. On hand were Northumberland Member of Parliament Benjamin Cope Thompson and Northumberland Member of Provincial Parliament William A. Goodfellow, both of Brighton.
