Death*: 21 June 1981; Trenton Memorial Hospital, Trenton, Hastings Co., Ontario; "George Douglas Fox; George Douglas Fox, RR 1, Codrington, passed away suddenly in Trenton Memorial Hospital June 22 in his 76th year. He was born in Brighton Township, the son of the late James and Annie Fox, and is survived by his widow Vera (Arthur). Mr. Fox is also survived by children Gerald, Frankfordl Allan, Wooler and David, RR 1, Codrington; and by six grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother Elwood Fox. He operated a bus for 25 years before his retirement. He was educated in Brighton Schools, and was a member of the United Church. ... June 24 .. Note*: circa 1947; Northumberland Co., Ontario; Charles Buchanan told me that he recalls being upstairs in his room at William Goodfellows place when Lloyd and Louise Ames and Doug and Vera Fox came to visit. Charles was the hired man for Bill Goodfellow at that time and would later marry Mary Ames. He says he had trouble sleeping due to the loud noises coming from downstairs well into the night; there apperantly was a lot of laughter from these three friendly couples.
