Note: The legal rangling seems to have been: After Thomas Martin remarried, to Robina ?, they wanted to pass the land to joint ownership. However, Lots 9 & 10 both belonged to Julia Martin when she died in 1913, so her children, as heirs, were then part owners. The Ontario Supreme Court ruled for the kids and they sold the lots to Wildred Earl Simpson, likely after Thomas Martin died.6

Note: 1930; Codrington, Northumberland Co., Ontario; "Mr. Walter Clark lived where Mr. Goodfellow now lives. Across the road from this place was a house owned by Mr. Nelson King. This house was moved into Codrington by Mr. T. Martin who used the lumber to re-build his store after moving it farther west when the new highway was built in 1930. They are now surveying the road in order to pave the highway." per Miss Nellie Greenly, 1937, in Tweedsmuir Histories of Codrington.
