Residence*: 1979; Brighton Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario; "Harry Reddom of Orland, looking a very youthful 90 years of age, resides in his home with his only daughter, Helen Plumpton and her husband, Ross. Mr. Reddom recalls that he was born in Orland and lived there until he was six years of age. One vivid memory of those years is the fire which destroyed the mill about 84 years ago. With no fire engine to aid in fire fighting, the residents removed their belongings to a safe place as they feared that the whole hamlet might be destroyed. Mr. Reddom's wife, the former Flossie McComb, died 10 years ago. She had lived across the road so did not have far to move into her home when they were married. Mr. Reddom has one grandson and four grandchildren. He enjoys guite good health. Congratulations, Mr. Reddom, on your 90th birthday."
