Note: circa 1930; Latimer Geneal Store, Orland, Northumberland Co., Ontario; The questions of exactly who took all the "Latimer Photos" was cleared up for me by Cyril Peister, on January 12, 2013, at the 95th Birthday Party of Doug Goodfellow at the Codrington Community Centre. Cyril said that he knew the Latimer's in Orland and that the son, Hugh Latimer, was the one who actually took the pictures. He knew that the father, William Latimer, had operated the General Store in Orland in the first decades of the 1900s but that Hugh took over at some point. In any case, he insisted that it was younger Hugh who was the photographer. This makes more sense, just looking at the ages of the father and son around 1930 when most of pictures appear to have been taken. (Dan Buchanan, January 12, 2013)9
