- Description
- The Cheers are dressed in their best for a posed, outdoor family photo: Maurice in a tall top hat with his watch chain swagged from his vest; Myrtle in a woman's cap of the era; Thomas Charles is wearing a beanie with an insignia; Louise in a light hat, coat and ankle socks; the baby, Norman is held in mother's warms, with cap and wrapped in a blanket. Norman is clearly in his first year: 1922. In the background is a brick house.
- Notes
- The Cheer family has been an integral part of Brighton history for six generations and thanks to the generosity of Doug Cheer, we now have a collection of studio portraits, Baird Theatre Company photos, family and town photos that reflect how times have changed in Brighton.
