Description
A statement made by the Association of Concerned Guyanese in Toronto condemns the killing of Guyanese historian Walter Rodney and the hypocrisy of U.S. foreign policy regarding human rights.
Notes
The Working People's Alliance (WPA) is a democratic socialist party founded by the Marxist historian Walter Rodney. Formed by the unification of the Working People's Vanguard Party, the African Society for Cultural Relations with Independent Africa, and the Indian Political Revolutionary Associates, the WPA was a major critic of the People's National Congress (PNC), which ruled the country in the 1970s and 1980s.
