Description
This report provides an introduction to the history, objectives, and programmes of the Belize Rural Women's Association during the latter half of the 1980s.
Notes
Established in 1979, the Belize Rural Women's Association is a non-political association of women committed to improving the lives of the nation's rural communities. The association was formed to address certain issues affecting poor- and working-class women in the hinterland of Belize. It has created a national forum to encourage rural women so make their voices heard and to speak-out on domestic violence, poverty, health, and other issues affecting their lives.
