- Description
- This report provides an introduction to the history, objectives, and programmes of the Belize Rural Women's Association during the latter half of the 1980s.
- Notes
- Established in 1979, the Belize Rural Women's Association is a non-political association of women committed to improving the lives of the nation's rural communities. The association was formed to address certain issues affecting poor- and working-class women in the hinterland of Belize. It has created a national forum to encourage rural women so make their voices heard and to speak-out on domestic violence, poverty, health, and other issues affecting their lives.
