- engraved at top of handle: "ROYAL CAFÉ"; on back of handle "McG. C. Co." and "QUEENS PLATE"
- The Royal Café opened in 1918 at 144 King Street. Mr. Gan operated the business until James Kay took over in 1927. The Royal Café was located at 149 King Street in 1946 and continued to operate under Lee Kay until the mid 1950s.
