- box(A) complete with lid(B)
- cardstock ; glued construction - box (A) beige lid (B) covered in navy paper ; cotton bat lining bottom.
- printed on inside of lid (B): "Spencer Stone Limited / Chatham , Ont ."
- Thomas Stone operated a Dry Goods Store in Chatham prior to 1864. In 1904 the store became Thomas Stone + Son, and by 1912, Thomas' son Spencer was operating the store located at 122-124 by himself. Hiriam J. Barclay began managing the store in 1941. Spencer Stone Ltd was no longer listed in city directories after 1950.
